Historic Motorsport

The 1980s

During the 1980s, Lanzante ran, maintained, and restored classic race cars in championships across Europe. The team campaigned several Can Am racers, and restored two cars for McLaren's Ron Dennis, before the Formula 1 team had established its own heritage division. Alongside the classic projects, the team ran a Porsche 911 in the BPR Global GT Series in 1995, before being chosen to run the development McLaren F1 GTR at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which went on to win.
